Varsity and JV Teams to play at RALEY FIELD

Both the Varsity and JV teams will be playing Franklin High school on April 8th at Raley Field. Our program is getting a wonderful opportunity to play on a triple-A field. For that, we must sell 400 ticket vouchers. That means EACH PLAYER MUST SELL 4 VOUCHERS! The vouchers are available now and each voucher is good for one River Cat game this next season. If you have a business, or know of a business, interested in purchasing a "block" of tickets contact Joannie Thompson at 717-4840.

Tyler Linehan Signs With The Fresno State University Bulldogs!!!

Sheldon baseball and supporters would like to congratulate Tyler Linehan and his family for signing his official National Letter of Intent with Fresno State University.  Tyler will be receiving a great education while playing at a legitimate Division I College.  Fresno State was in the market for a power left handed pitcher.  Tyler was one of the top left handed recruits on their list. After 4 grueling months of recruiting, Tyler and Fresno agreed to terms. Moving forward, Tyler is anxiously waiting for the opportunity to help his Bulldog team win another College National Championship.

NEXT BOOSTER MEETING

Wednesday FEBRUARY 10th at 7:00pm in room F7 at Sheldon High School, next to the Performing Arts Center. We will continue preparations for the Spring fundraisers.

Former Husky Players Sign Professional Contracts...

Pitcher Cory Hamilton (UC Irvine) and Catcher Travis Simas (UNR) signed professional contracts in June. Hamilton was drafted in the 23rd round by the Detroit Tigers and Simas signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Currently Hamilton is playing for the Oneonta Tigers in Class A-Short Season. Simas is playing for the Gulf Coast Rays in Rookie ball. Congratulations to both former Husky standouts!!!
